Metsäliitto and Vapo are exploring the suitability of a number of locations for a liquid biodiesel plant
In the long term, it is possible that plants will be built in more than one location.

At the first stage, the possible locations are Kemi and Äänekoski in Finland, Jönköping in southern Sweden, and Kunda in Estonia. Environmental impact assessments have already been launched in these locations. Security of raw material supplies will be a particularly important factor influencing the choice of the site for the first plant.
